Hey man, just posted a video earlier today that you might find helpful http://su.pr/1GmQQq

That video is targeted at improving the free text portion of the profile (i.e. the "about me" section and side-bar questions). I think there's a lot in there that you might find helpful. Let me add some additional remarks here:

1) Use punctuation and paragraph spacing to your advantage. Break up the run-on sentences and divide the text up into more A.D.D.-friendly chunks. Women have short attention spans when they have so many choices of profiles to browse.

2) Eliminate phrases/sentences like "I'm not picky" and "hate playing games." These aren't helping you.

3) Get rid of net-speak (e.g. replace "im" with "I'm").

4) To my mind, the main issue with your "about me" is that it's missing some "umph." (again, see the video for some ideas here)

5) Your side-bar answers also need some cleaning up, I think. Your religion section answer needs to be shortened. Also, sentences like "just need to bail on this boring ass town" conveys the wrong message and should probably be eliminated.

As for your photos, it's good that you showcase your love of outdoor concerts. But you have one too many photos of essentially the same thing. It makes you look a bit one-dimensional (which I'm sure you're not). I'd keep 1 or 2 of those (at most), and then add 1 or 2 pics displaying other facets of your life. 3-5 pics total is about right for a site like match, as a rule of thumb.

Hope this helps.

-Dan

Hey cobain23,

thanks for posting a link to your profile. It takes guts.

Check out this link which is the profile of the guy that created Insider Internet Dating and is about a close to an expert, in my opinion, as you can get in this area. Read his profile and side bar bits. You will notice how he is quite vague but also has humour and qualifiers built into the text.

I think you're giving too many facts, though I love music and movies too but do not list any bands or films, say what genres you love. I think you need to make better use of the Matchwords feature too. I would change your main page photo to one where you can see your face clearly. I would make sure all the profile bits have an answer - you have no answer in ethnicity - it looks a bit silly.

As zentropik said make your text normal and no net acronyms or anything. Split the text up so it's easier to read. I think the main text lacks a structure.

Apparently here are some things you should do in your text

Challenge them
Talk about your good features
Don't brag
Talk about family and friends
Show your versatality
Show you are not pushy or desperate for a relationship.
Show the qualities women desire - confidence, humour etc
Have a cool quote
Explain what type of girl you are looking for

Hope this helps.

zentropic, that was a good vid too
