Hey all, I've been occasionally doing online dating for years now with limited success(still not a big fan of online dating). Over the years I've noticed a pattern from the girls I've actually had success with. Every single girl and I am not kidding when I say EVERY single girl ends up doing the same thing. You start talking through email and everything is going fine then all of a sudden communication stops cold! 2 or 3 days later the girl emails and everything resumes. This is a real pattern I've noticed over the years and every single girl does it.

I have my theories on it and was wondering if anyone else has seen or noticed this pattern. Or if I'm just crazy! LOL! My theory is that it is a Psycho test. A woman will just cut you off for a few days to see how you respond. It seems to be a way for them to discover if you are needy or a psycho or whatever. Anybody else notice this?

god yes. Ive never really hooked up online apart from some facebook. But you get the same with texts. Very atentative convo with quick responces and then cold foor a few days. This really annoys me because im quite a "lets get this done, dont waste my time sort of guy" so i tend to stay away from texting and msging.

I cant be sure what the female point of this gap is..and i think your idea is most likely the correct reason. though is 3 days not long enough to ask a girl out? maybe they have almost given up on the prospect of a date?

Yeah it's interesting isn't it. I'm not sure women even do it consciously. It may be a learned behavior that women just develop over the years after dealing with tool after tool. Ha ha! I think 3 days is long enough to ask a girl out, but I always like to wait a couple weeks myself and try to build a little anticipation.

Well just had to report back that like clock work the most recent girl I've been talking to online just emailed me back exactly 3 days later with the convenient excuse I've never heard before - she was soooo busy! haha! Every single girl!
