Favorited 76 times... Pay attention guys! Notice he's socially proofed. He's cocky and funny. The description is also pretty short..... Do a search and try to find people to model your profile after - the more people you're favorited by, the better IMHO!

hmm...i thought it was ok, definitely not threadworthy for the profile itself but worthy because he is favorited as many times as he has been. i don't know about this one, he does have some ok stuff but it just doesn't strike me that way, but apparently many people beg to differ.

Before I get to the guys profile I just want to talk about the favorite thing real quick. On POF the favorite thing basically is there so you can "save" a profile so you can go back and message the person. Some people take it further to where they think it shows how "popular" you are. I don't think it really carries that much weight or value for that matter. As I been able to get replies back from girls that had hundred's of favorites. And no reply back from girls that had a handful.

As far as this guy's profile goes, there are two things that stand out in it. One is that he owns a house (or at least claims to, people do lie in their profiles you know. :wink: ), which at the age of 24 is a HUGE DHV to girls his own age group as most guys don't own a house at that age. And there is some C&F in there. Tho the sexual joke at the end may or may not hurt him depending on the type of girls he goes after, which I am guessing are party chicks for the most part.

I think it's DIRECTLY proportional to how "popular" you are. It means that your profile stands out enough that a girl wants to save it. It means she's interested, if not attracted. That number is a numerical representation of social proof! haha "Hey, if all these people are attracted to him, I am too!"

I disagree that it is directly proportional to how "popular" you are. As on a site like POF its hard to tell how many first contact e-mails are being sent to that person. Unlikely MySpace or Facebook where you can get an idea to how popular they are by the number of comments and how many people leave comments. But I won't disagree about the social value thing as I do think for a gilr it adds some but not much. What doe add a lot of social value on POF is a girl leaving feedback/comment on your profile. A you basically got a girl "selling" you.
