Header: "Dear [name of bar] Bartender

Post: "I am currently in the process of finding my ideal bartender girlfriend. Although you easily made the short-list, I am riding the fence as to your full qualifications as a possible candidate. What qualifications do you feel you could bring to the position besides your fashion sense (which is above reproach I might add) that would distinguish you from the others I will be conducting interviews with?"

I don't know if she reads these, but know enough about her to know that she will apreciate my use of irony and directness without being typical (ie Youre hot. Let's meet.). Either way, it was a good exercise in overcoming my fear.

Anything similar guys? Any pointers?

I think it sounds rather clever. But will she see it?

I think it would be fun to just lay it on her in person. Maybe try to get her to role-play the interview. Make it hard on her and all...

"hmm,, well you seem nice enough of course, but a lot of the other candidates seem nice too. Can you tell me something about your annoying qualites? Do children like you?"

Yeah, I agree. It would be better in person. I quit drinking and hate the bar she works at. Hence why I tried it online. I don't know if it is actually her or not, but I got a rather enthusiastic response which I'll spare you. This is how I responded:

"Our senior executive us currently out of the office. If you leave your name and a brief description of yourself, then he will be sure to get back to you when he returns."

I like this because it weeds out the imposters and continues the role play if it is her. I live in a city that's small enough to guarrentee there's a better chance of her seeing it or having it pointed out to her then not.

I think there are threads somewhere around here on scoring bartenders. So look into those for tactics.

Find out when she works, especially when the bar is empty. Heck, even pop in a couple times when the joint first opens. That way , if you're lucky, it will be just you and a very bored her.

Make a plan and turn the charm on.....

Either way, good luck. But keep in mind, I think you're really pshycing yourself out. The more you plan, the more you script, the harder it will be...

I'm not one into gimmicy stuff and tricks,,, but in an empty bar, something amusing like a magic trick, or a mind reading could help break the dolldrum of a dull day.

Just try to have some fun with it and don't walk away till you're actually tried to meet this chick.

At this point I'm pretty much over chasing her down. My confidence has taken such a boost as of late that I'm feeling like I should just stick to sarging the places that I end up at naturally during my day. It seems much easier to be confident when I'm in my own element.
