Ok so i usually dont do Online gaming but what had happened was that my friend (lets call him mr. F) works at a supermarket and showed me pictures of this cashier that lives near my way and is a HB7. So in order to try and game her with out going out of my way to go to the supermarket I decided to get her screen name from him. So after this i though i have to come up with a reason for IMing her, so it wouldnt be weird and akward. So I came up with the story that my other friend (lets call him F2) was bragging about how he started a new trend which i was sceptical of and mr. F gave me her screen name to ask another employee myself. and heres how the convo went.

HB7:Hyey who's thiss lol
Mithos: youre a quick one.(this was sarcasm cause it took her awhile to respond)do you know a MR.F that works at A&P?
HB7:Lolol
HB7:Yea

at that point I just closed the window cause i was really frustrated and she hasnt IMed me back yet (doubt she will). But i'd like to know where the hell did I go wrong to make the convo end up like this.

I didnt think that the questions were all that personal(But that must be cause im a impersonal person). But i remember reading the key to attracting girls quickly is to make them feel like theyve known you longer than they have.. but i guess I started doing this too early prehaps?

Making them feel like they know you is a very good point, but in online gaming that is different. You need a few messages of making yourself not seem creepy and weird and get her attention so then she can start acting like herself.

Everything went downhill from the moment you asked if your friend had ever mentioned you. She answered no, and the fact that he had never mentioned you can only be rationalized as you beeing a low status, low value person.

After that she treated you accordingly. She even asked what was the point of the conversation. No offence man, but it was weak from the start.

The whole "grapish" thing was strange

Scratch those first 8 messages and instead how about:

"Hey, I'm F's (coolest) friend Neville. What's going on with this "grapish" thing???"

If she knew, it could have been funny but she didn't so she would have said "huh?" Then it's on you to make it really funny and/or let it go & change the subject. She was confused and thrown off when she realized she didn't know who you were at the beginning.

Hell, quit with the "yes" or "no" questions altogether. A yes or a no question doesn't get you anywhere. You want her to have to think about what to say otherwise she'll be bored from saying yes/no.

"Why...?"
"How...?"
OPEN ended questions are the only way to keep a conversation going.


I think it was bad timing when you said
"Ok ok, we'll do this one step at a time."
By this point she was *frustrated* because:
1. She thought you were someone else and got confused
2. She didn't know what you were talking about
3. You weren't getting to the point quickly enough
4. She was at work and on a break. Not good if she thinks you're wasting her time.

It's pretty easy to frustrate girls if you dwell on something random that they don't care about, know about, or you can't explain it fast & funny.

Time to change the subject. "So, wait, are you the short brunette or the tall one?" or whatever act like you're not sure exactly who she is get her to explain it. Then get into actual "normal" conversation. But she was running out of time it sounds like, which was one last thing working against you.

What you needed here was a Transition to something normal but you better make an amazing 4 mins of conversation to get anything out of this.

Moral of the story is that she didn't know WTF you were talking about so you needed to explain it(quickly) and transition to talking about something else. Chicks hate being confused and even worse they don't like being negged or fucked with when they're already confused.

And many of them are EASY to confuse.

Trust me I know that it's weird, F2 is a super AFC. But I needed something to work with. But I agreewith what you said about the first 8 lines. I think I recovered well though. After she IMed me back she apologized and asked me to explain it to her. After that we talked and I found out she lives with her dad(her mom died) some supermarket drama, and random shit about her past. So I think it's safe to say were in the comfort stage now.

But another question I have is if chicks don't ever IM you first does that mean there's not enough attraction?
