For the back story, this a girl I went to highschool, and really never talked to much then or now. I honestly didn't even think she still lived in the same city. This is what I put on her wall via facebook and it got a GREAT reaction...

"When was the last time you fought for love? In romantic comedies, there is always a realization, where the protagonist discovers something about himself, and in that process, discovers he is in love. Fearing it's too late, he drops all of the things he once thought were important, to find and embrace the woman he loves. He speaks to her with a new sparkle in his eye, with a deeper joy than he thought possible, of the all the things he did wrong, but how, it didn't matter anymore, because it still lead them to each other. So what I am trying to say is, Happy 23rd Katie."

With all the messages she got on her birthday, I wanted to make her notice mine.

She sent me a message in less then a day. It's a little corny, but results are results.


Any suggestions on ways to improve this routine?

Nice work. Personally I wouldn't write that on one of my friends walls because my other friends would pay me out. But it worked really well for you so I must be missing something.

We don't have a whole lot of mutual friends. Ya know, those people on the very out skirts of your friend 'group' that you haven't talked to in for ever, but would say hi to if you saw her any where. I don't think I would have posted this on a close friends wall for her birthday, mostly because I am already in the friend zone, and what not, but also, because if my 'close' friends saw it, ya, they would probably give me some shit. It worked though. As for the game a ran tonight... eh. But that piece of work, I am going to let simmer for a little while.
