To the myspace/facebook and other online sargers (plenty of fish too), here is lesson numero uno:

Pictures are fucking lies

Girls can do some weird shit with a camera, and guaranteed they look nothing like their profile suggests. 9 times out of 10 in real life they are much uglier. I haven't figured out exactly how they do it, but camera angles and perspective come into play.

EXAMPLE:

At this point, you're thinking, "all right! HB7+!", right?

Yeah, well this is another picture of her:

still impressed?

One key thing I have found - are there any GUYS on her profile? Are there any pics of her and any guys? If no, red flag #1. Are all of her pics with her "and the girlfriends" only? Red flag #2. Are all of the pictures at weird angles (esp. camera up, pointing downwar? Red flag #3.

UGs seem to have a very tight nit group of girl friends. They are attached at the hip. If your target is not getting hit on by guys, there is a reason!

edit: Oh, by the way... she listed her body type as "athletic". pffthahaha..

Good luck,

Plenty of fish is a bit better in the photo "lie" department than the social sites as people actually have intention of possibly dating people.

Uh I thought the camera thing girls do was common knowledge? :? But I doubt the ratio is 9 out of 10 times on this sort of thing. If it was that high then online dating would have been killed by now. As far as how girl take such photos its really not that hard to explain. Its called using angles. The next time your in the club and see a girl taking a self shot of her and/or her and her friend. Look at where the camera is. 9 otu 10 times the girl's camera will be up in the air pointing down on the girls. Its usually between 60 to 80 degree angle.

It is quite possible that she is getting hit on by guys on myspace/facebook but does not accept their friend request as she does not want guys on her profile. I have run into a couple of girls that are like this. And some have been HB 7+ girls.

Also I understand your frustration on this and all, but this the internet and it is quite easy to lie about anything. Oh and to add to your "rule" if the girl has professional phot, they have been photoshoped for sure. And the girl is most likely not that attractive if all of her photos are professional.

You have a point there. I've really just been focusing on the social networking sites, not the dating sites. The signal to noise might be higher on the dating sites. Women are pretty intuitive, and after the first 5 guys run off screaming, she might change her pics...

Absolutely. That's why it's a red flag and not a disqualification. Just means to check everything with a fine toothed comb.

But I'm getting more and more convinced that meeting people on myspace is ass-backwards to what should be happening (meeting people in the real world first, and then adding them to myspace...)

I say the only people you would meet off of myspace are for niche areas. This meaning local gathering of some kind, it being for a concert or a party at some club, or a meet up for people with a common interest/hobby. I haven't tested this yet on myspace but I am almost betting that you will have a better chance of meeting girls that are either the cougar/MILF type or girls with few friends (ie under 30 or so). Because once you get to the profiles of girls (especially the girls between 20 to 30 of age) that have over a 100 friends you can almost bet she knows like 10 or so of those people in real life and the rest she has no clue who they are, and she add them so she can get more popular. But I would say now that it will be better in general to just meet girls in real life and then add them once you get their info.

usually ugly girls take pics from angles or dont have pics of their full bodies. my man tariq nasheed did a show about this on his podcast over at macklessonsradioshow.com. most of what he said is very much true.

When you meet a chick from either a dating site or social network site.
insist on having get sent to you, face and body (showing herself standing) photos, otherwise say you refuse to meet.

I would say a fair amount of girls will already have such pictures in their profile so no need have them sent to you. I just make it a policy of mine to only contact girls that have at least one head shot and body shot. And both have to be big enough to make a good enough call on how good looking they are. As some pictures can be a bit on the small side.
