I can't think of any really good ways to get a successful number close. And as we all know, you really only get one (two if you're lucky) good shot at getting a number close online. I know the lack of body language makes it a lot harder to build trust and comfort, so if anyone can give me any kind of openers and maybe some ideas for first date meet ups, I'd greatly appreciate it. From my own personal experiences, I ended up using the Are You Interested application and used my own personal opener.
"So I can see that I caught your interest, but what's up with that? My stunning good looks? " It's not the best one, but it's gotten a good percentage of replies back like "haha i guess you can say that. ", "Im a flirty person and when people take an interest in me i give that interest back....thats how i am", "thats exactly what it was ", and other fun stuff like that. Hopefully that may help you out but Whoopie's poking technique may help you out better.

First date ideas? I end up dragging them somewhere to the mall to be in a public place and do goofy stuff around the place. That and you can toss them a neg beforehand like if they are weird then you can get away or something along those lines. If it's a nice day, I'll do something at a park and be fun there as well. Then, I do isolate them away for some good making out. Does remind me of one time of where I played some really good kino on a facebook girl from the movie theater...then after the movie let out, starting getting to business in the backseat of my car at the back of the parking lot.

Hope any of these ideas may help. Everyone else, please give him a hand if you feel like I'm steering him wrong. I am a newb after all.

try to screen name or em,ail close before you number close. reason being, you can build more comfort through msn etc so she is more likely to give your her number...normally works for me

ANother good facebook app is the "compare hotness" application.....
It isnt hard to use, pick which picture is hot and click their name (u can flirt send a message etc etc....) and after you do a few you get them back (seems to be more u click more you get).
well my tactic is easy... send a flirt to any1 who is an HB7+ then wait!

and wait a little more

then, on the applications inbox you will find u have lots of flirts back... sure they may do it for the points, or my stunning good looks but still u should get a few aswell

Anyways, this is where u make ur life simple! click flirt back again.. that means u flirted first, then they replied with a flirt, then u flirt back the 2nd time.... half of the girls will cut out at this stage, they wont be that bothered and will disappear. Dont worry, u moved ur index finger twice! No loss. However, the other half will flirt back again. so now u make ur move its simple! click the "send message" button or "reply"

Simple, now they WILL reply. Now before you moan that its a closed question, thats the point.... it lines you up for a teasing neg (since u spoke to them first, they are gonna be a little up themselves SPAM )
She will say "yes" or something along those lines "maybe " is always the better sign imo.
So this is when stage 2 comes on "wow, u an talk i am impressed.... but still that just makes u like every1 else on here Ok so u can talk, what about a conversation? Think you can cope with that . if u can prove it, and dont bother with the boring "how are you?" and what not, prove to me you can interesting aswell as pretty"

Those are both good ideas, but my problem lays more in the Myspace area of online chatting. We sent a few emails back and forth and then she just didn't respond to my last one. It's not a huge issue, I'm not stuck on this one girl, it's just one of those annoying things that I can't get around. How do you strike up conversation again without seeming like you're hung up on this person?

Two weeks... she will forget you.
I just go straight for the number. I don't see the point in wasting time.

The ones that don't answer pretty soon on, are usually not interested for some reason. The ones that you've already invested time in, don't reply back for different reasons.
I don't know this for fact, but I am willing to bet they just forget. They read your mail, and will say "I'll reply later" and just simply forget.

It does have its backside of forgetting, but we can always turn it into a positive by acting like we've never met before. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, but like I said before, I'm still a newb. But yeah, I'm interested to see how it starts off so that people will have a good model to follow.
