Not sure where you're getting your pickup advice but the rule for phone is not 2 days...and what they say in the movie Swingers is bullshit. If it's a cold approach you need to text her same day and call the next day.
As far as internet and email, just use the same average time interval that you do in between online messages. In other words, she sends you a message and gives you her email, so just reply like you would normally but do it through email. Don't make the transition to email a big deal. It's nothing more than a different channel to communicate.
Is this internet dating site set up so she could ONLY give you her email?...as opposed to phone #.
