What do you guys think about Facebook? Is it worth using? Are there any good guides to setting up a good, attractive profile? My personal view is somewhat mixed. On the one hand I feel that Facebook has become too central to peoples lives. To a great extent, many people simply try to live their lives through it. It has got to the point now that when you see something amazing, take a photo, go somewhere cool or do something interesting that the first thing they do is put it on Facebook. It seems some people only do shit so that they can put it on Facebook too. Half the time it's bullshit. Am I wrong? There's also the whole spending too much time on Facebook thing. For me I try to only make a status update once every few weeks more or less. But I find myself on it reading bullshit newsfeeds and messaging people more often than I would like. As a result I have deleted my profile, I don't want to be on it, I don't care for putting statuses up telling people I'm not with or seen for years what I am doing right now and I don't really give a shit about what other people put up 95% of the time. I have this view that the most successful people I know in life don't really use it, and more so are not even on it, simply they don't have time for it, so in a sense it seems that having a profile is in itself a DLV. What do you guys think? Yes perhaps I'm thinking about it a little too much. I see the sense in having a presence on it but having a profile seems to distract pretty much everyone I know, myself included from living a high quality life. Have any of you guys found a good balance? What advice might you suggest? What are your opinions? I would love to hear? Personally I think I should just get myself a PA to deal with my Facebook profile like Richard Branson or some shit, make it look like the sun shines out of my arse and just be done with it
