I offer to meet up for coffee because it's low risk for them and low investment for me in case I'm not interested. Meeting for a drink is generally preferable but coffee seems to get girls to agree the most.
I make sure to smile a lot, tease the girl, act confident, be friendly towards everyone in the coffee shop, and talk about things that make her happy. I try to keep it to around an hour of conversation or less and then be the one to end it.
Finally, I walk her to her car and give her a kiss on the lips. No full out tongue or anything but a solid smack on the lips. This is done to guarantee that I'm not friend zoned and spice things up a little bit too.
If the girl texts me within 24 hours of the date, it's a 99.9% guarantee I will see her again and most likely get laid at some point. But if she doesn't, I have to initiate again and my chances are drastically lower.
Today I met a girl doing this method and it was okay until the end where the kiss part backfired. I went in for a kiss and she assumed it was a hug and turned her head to the side. Not about to be denied, I said "come here" and turned her head and kissed it. It was somewhat awkward though. Any ideas for damage control on this one? Should I text her in a few days and pretend it never happened? Joke around about the kiss?
Also, does anything in my method seem generally flawed?
