You are not missing anything, my friend. Girls simply don't like to meet men on the internet. They use it mostly to chat with people they already know and since that place is filled with creeps you just need to have a little luck to find a girl that actually wants to talk. I found myself one girlfriend that way though. Still... too much work. And it really didn't work out.

Sure that's plausible but guys on here get online dates all the time? Why can't I do it?

You are not good looking enough or you have to lower your standards a lot.
Get 2-3 pictures of a good looking white guy and see the difference.
