Any advice for upping my game after I get a date? I recently dated this awesome chick and everything was going great or so I thought. Then suddenly she ditched me for someone else. I know the real fact of the matter wasn't looks but the fact that I didn't up my game or do the right things to really gel the relationship. It still bothers me and I play over and over in my head all the things I should have done differently.

So a couple of things I'd like to know from some of the guys who've successfully picked up women online. What did you do when you first met the girl? Did you do something quirky/funny? What was your technique to make a first impression because I know that is key!!! I always make a good first impression but I don't make a great one! I need to make a great one and keep it going! I want the kind of impression that leaves her thinking about me day and night! Thanks all!

There is a lot to it but one key secret is to make a good first impression as you pointed out. The reason most guys fail to do this is because they lie/mislead/etc. in their profile and leading up to the date. If you don't do that, it will be much easier to make a great 1st impression.
