I'm new to the online gaming recently become single. I'm looking for a long term relationship but I find that not many women reply. The ones that do message me tend to be of a low score shall we say. How is the best way to get a good response? Anyone got any suggestions I can use for an opener online on POF?

I've found the best openers are ones that mention something in their profile, are funny, and are short (1-2 lines). Canned openers are 'eh' and pretty much should be reserved for just spamming a bunch of girls with a copy paste. Most of them will figure it out though, and you may miss out on some good quality girls that you could have got if you didn't send a lame canned opener.

You are overthinking .. sometimes I go right into it like for example: "what's with everyone having pictures of tigers in their profile" or other times i say Hey There and then go. It doesn't make a big difference.

I usually don't use 'Hi' to start but it doesn't matter either way.

I usually start with

Hey, you seem interesting. [comment on something in their profile]

- [my name]

It gets a decent response rate. I think when it comes to this stuff the main thing is you send them a message and they look at your profile and decide whether or not to message you based mostly on that, probably mostly on if they like what they see in your picture.

is my favorite online opener.

Your profile is what does the work for you, any opener you send should just be some small IOI (like saying Hi) that causes her to want to look at your profile.
