To cut a very long story short, I met a girl last Oct at a function. We really hit it off but she had a bf in same room. wouldnt hand over tel number but mentioned Facebook and mentioned something to the effect of if I didnt find he she would come and find me.

I added her two days later and she never accepted the request. 4 weeks later, I emailed her and she didnt reply. I know she saw it as there is a read receipt.

Im sure alot of you wouldnt pursue as she has a bf, I just want to get opinions on the 'pending' friend request.

She hasnt cancelled the request, so how would you interpret that in my position?

3 months have passed and you're still obsessed over this? Get a hobby bro. You tend to do stuffs like this when you have too much free time on hand. If you're busy with your life, I'm sure you won't even remember who she is.

My take on this, she liked you but has a bf and is happy in her relationship so nothing can happen.

She keeps you as an option just in case something happens with her bf. If she accepts you now things can't go anywhere so they will fizzle out you'll be frustrated and she will lose her back up option. Keeping your request is a reminder to her that you are a possible option for the future. Also if she breaks up with her bf and needs to add random guys to make her bf jealous she can click accept. Depends on her personality.

Focus your attention on other girls. If something happens to her relationship and she wants to see where things can lead with you she'll come to you.
