thinking of something along the lines of option 1...

first, not saving me meatballs (she had made meatballs for the party and I had went out so I didn't get any). Now, requesting facebook friendship without an introduction! D:
(but I don't know if this is too "mean" and I kinda want to soften it up a bit)

second...maybe approach it from the fact that she wanted to go play badminton with me someday so just going with something like
"soo Ill see you "insert random day" for our baddy session right?"

I think option 1 would work, but add at the end "how dare you!?", something more playful, not a sad face. Anyway, you can be "mean", but add a punch line to make it affable.

I personally would just go direct. Her adding you is an IOI. "Cool seeing you at the party, you seemed fun. Let's grab a drink sometime." It's totally innocuous and could be taken as an overture of friendship.

If you prefer to be more indirect.

"Hey Name, I missed out on your meatballs, they went too fast By the laws and statutes of new friends you totally owe me meatballs now."

If she gives in and says she will then just say "Alright, let's grab drinks this week and talk about when you'll pay me my meatball restorations."

If she fights you on it "Oh wow, you are totally breaking the rules of the new friend act, how does "mutual friend" put up with you?
