This looks like a problem I was having a few months ago when I first started on the online dating scene.

My responses tended to be really long in comparison to what I was getting back from the girls. I'm just a naturally verbose writer. Not so much when I talk, but that's a different story.

My goal was to open up and try and get conversation going, and hopefully get her to write back with similar length. It didn't get me the results I wanted.

Make them laugh early. If you can give them grief over small things in their profiles or their responses back to you, do it. Keep it short. Keep it charming. Make it fun for them. Make them want more.

Make a fake time constraint, and tell them that you've already established that the two of you are witty, funny, intelligent, attractive, whatever, so she should text you at 555-1293.

You basically gave her a conversation right off the bat. And from what I've seen that's not viable. You can do more conversation stuff when you get into texting her. My successes have been when I've just made a good impression and then escalated into offline communication.

Remember that roughly 40-50% of these girls online are going to Flake on you so don't let that get you down. Keep pushing yourself....
