I'm a college student that is pursuing the day gaming frontier as well as I signed up for POF but I feel uncomfortable doing it. I feel that if my friends found out they'd think I was an idiot, I'm sure people get this feeling but how have you dealt with it?

I use POF, my friends know, family knows, well you get the drift.

I'm not embarrassed at all, it's all down to how much you let it bother you, who cares what other people think?

When you are getting the HB10's and people are wondering how then who is embarrassed? :)

The stigma doesn't really exist anymore. Give yourself permission to embrace it. There are some seriously great women online.

It's all in your head man! Your friends don't care about where you find HB's, your friends will only respect you even more when you get them.

Think about this what if one of the HB's on PoF turns into a LTR? Are you going to hide her from everyone you know? Are you going to instruct her some story? You'll probably lose value to her!

Just be a man! Men want girls! PoF can get you girls! There's nothing more to it.

Audioman,

Im also a college student and just signed up for PoF. I know what you mean about being a little embarrassed about it but look at it this way - by the time it has no stigma attached to it and everyone is doing it, the competition will be ridiculous and it will be a lot harder.

If any of your friends say anything or make fun of it, I would suggest saying what I will say to my friends when they make fun of me (and I know it is coming right when they find out) - They will piss me off a little bit with their immature jokes and I will tell them that they dont have balls to make a profile because they are afraid of being made fun of - which is true. Because honestly, why wouldn't a guy want to bring more women to him? It is like having a product and saying "well I dont want to put it in that market because of how it will look on the company". People like that are weak business owners and will never achieve maximum success because of their their mindset. It is the same with marketing yourself.

Do your best to keep it on the DL as much as possible, and if it gets let out defend your position to death. Chances are the first hot girl you snag off of there will quell all your embarrassment and have your friends making profiles anyway.
