Guys, am chattting to a really leftfield and highly intelligent beauty at the moment on line.

It started off very humorous, weird sense of humour though and has come down to this after a an hour a day over two days:

her- time will tell eh ? lol
me- oh yes ? what does that mean ?
her- i don't know you enough...yet
me - can i ask you a serious question ?
her - go on
me - what are you looking for ?
her- nothing serious
me- good, me neither, do you think we are on the same wavelength ?
her- maybe
me - damn, i have to go just as its getting more interesting, i might not get on line tomorrow
her - it's not getting more interesting i can assure you, lol. maybe speak tomoz
her

IOI or evasion ? where to take this next guys ??

It started as a definate IOI but then you came on far too strong. To me it also seems like you contradicted yourself by asking a "serious question" and then agreeing with her non serious answer. You also need to be more affirming and take the lead - there are too many "Can I?" and "You seem" 's.

Now all is not lost though, you still have that IOI under your belt. I'm guessing you don't live in the same community as this girl or you would have spoken to her in person by now, but you should lay low and wait for her to reinitiate contact. If she does that's an IOI and your back in the game, but keep it light - especially online.

Otherwise you just need to relax, if you act like it wasn't a big deal, it won't be.

thanks owlex, i take your point but we are both married so its a little different to how it might be if single hence the slightly stronger approach to establish a mutual interest, i do take your point though, thanks
