A little backstory: Hit up this girl, # closed in about 6 emails. Haven't talked yet, but have texted and continued to email. Trying not to fall into the LJBF zone! She's an HB7

Me:ok, are you awake, or did you roll on your phone again?
HB:No I am awake. I just got an e-mail. I had this totally off the wall message! I just hit delete!

Me:Ahhh...the 'off the wall' message. I'm glad I'm not a female. lol!
HB:It sucks sometimes!
Me:C'mon, give me a taste....what was the worst message you ever received? lol
HB:I hate this language but I got a very long message from this guy asking me about how my certain body parts look and feel and that if I would "poop" on him during sex he would be my slave and cook, clean, and anything I wanted.... He wanted to be taken full advantage of and humiliated .... Ok ... Psycho???

Me:OK....HELLO?!?! When will these sick individuals learn?! What a loser. I guess due to this being a FREE site, it lends itself to attracting these cretins. It is those asshats(sorry) that make it hard for guys lie me....
HB:Oh I know, I am so careful who I talk to. There are some real sick pervs out there. Just because I am single, doesn't make me desperate lol

Me:So what advice would you give me, hmmm?
HB:Be friendly but be yourself. Leave the vulgar talk for later haha

HB:Ewww ... I was giving you general advice! There will eventually be a later with someone!

Me:In the interests of 100% disclosure, I am rather flirty. So if that is something that bothers you, we probably won't get along. It's a give and take, actually...but not for everyone.
HB:Oh no once I am comfortable .... I am exactly the same way. Its all in how you do it

The conversation ended there...we have a date next friday night. I keep reading the email chat and wondering if I could have pushed the envelope more in certain spots, and how I can jumpstart the escalation on the date, based on the clues in her email replies...

Listen, what's done is done, you can't change the past. The fact that you've got a date with this girl I'd consider it a success, why harp on it? You know what'll happen if you get caught-up in the content of every interaction you have with this girl? I do. You'll become over ridden with anxiety in fear that your performance wasn't good enough and guess what, you'll be far from present when around her.

Ever hear of the adage "paralysis by analysis"? It's a slippery slope my friend. You start analyzing one email/text exchange, then another, then another and so on and so forth.

Focus on the now, stop worrying about the past or the future.
