I would open with an email or message about a time that she did something funny that was a DLV (Demonstration of Lower Value). That way you DHV yourself and it gives a neg. For example:

Hey xxxx,

I was just thinking the other day about that time that you laughed so hard you spilled beer all over yourself, and you smelled like beer the rest of the night. Those were good times! So how have you been?......

Just have fun with it, use smilies and stuff to show you are being playful. Keep some negs in there. If she doesn't mention a boyfriend don't worry about it, trust me on this.
