Well.. here I am, back at this hell hole I call Small Town Online Sarging. This is more of a rant really, but I want to rant somewhere. At least it's relevant to the forum's section.

You see, I quit online sarging to go hit up bars (We only have a few of them) and it turns out, the majority of nights it's the same small town little cliche of people hanging out. You know, the people who grew up together.. the same high school. I graduated from a high school 15 minutes away in the middle of a field so naturally I am not apart of this little white trash small town cliche and I'm not accepted.

I come from a town of 10,000 people or less and the majority of them are low rent drug dealers and just generally trashy and disgusting people. Let me give you an example of the type of people I'm talking about.

One night out at a local bar, this woman wearing a blue beat up hoodie and baggie jeans stands up and starts yelling "AH HELL NAH! Thas muh baby cuzin! you dont no her! it aint nun yo business muthafucka thats muh baby cuzin! bitch! What!! WHAT!!" Yeah... those kind of people. Just trashy and loud for no reason.

Well, I got banned from two of the four bars in the town because I saw a business owner give a bartender a big tip. Apparently he's married and he's running around on his wife with this bartender, so he noticed that I noticed that.. and since I'm not apart of this little small town group, he's good friends with the owner and told him to ban me. Nice...

Well, I was going to make an effort to be cool with everyone so I could get back into the most popular bar but then I just thought.. wait a minute.. why in the world do I want to be cool with these people? It's mostly the same people every night and seriously.. do I really want to be friends with these people? People who have 3-4 kids with a few different baby daddies, the loud trashy girls who I mentioned above, the typical hillbilly douches who want to fight everyone once their drunk? Really? That's who I want as my friends and references if a 8,9 or 10 walks in? No..

So now, I'm here online again until I can afford to drive to a town of 60,000 people which is 20 minutes away. The few times I've been there, the place was packed with beautiful girls who didn't know each other, there was no one group of friends there that go there every night and hate outsiders for no fucking reason. There was no fights or drama.. because the bouncers will beat the hell out of you and throw you out. Back then though, I just couldn't talk to anyone.. I froze up and drank by myself.

If you have ever lived in a small town.. you probably know exactly what I am talking about.. the psychology of people in small towns is amazing.. they hate people they didn't grow up with and refuse to let them into their little small town group they have going on. They're looking for any excuse to fight someone or just to pick on. I mean come on.. a 40+ year old business owner is screwing around on his wife who he has been with since they were in high school, with a very public bartender that everyone knows.. and this is a girl who has 4 kids, one of which has to have special medication every night because she did drugs during her pregnancy with him. That makes me sick.. a life destroyed because someone couldn't stop doing drugs long enough to have a kid, the kid doesn't even have a chance to live a normal life. What a scum piece of shit in my eyes.

Now, we get to the online part.. I've had a PlentyOfFish profile for years.. I hop on and off from time to time.. and what do you know? It's the same people still online, still single, still looking for their "good hearted man" lol really? I'm browsing through the Online and Browse List and I've messaged the majority of these women before. I can message 20 girls from out of my area (far away driving distance) and get at least 15 back. Around here though, for some reason girls just won't respond to me.

I've tried sincere, I've tried cocky, I've tried genuine romantic, I've tried funny and intriguing and I have used just about every opener, headline, profile style that I could. I'm not sure what else to even do now. If I had a lot of money, I would never be home.. For some reason, people I meet out of my area or even out of state are so much more relaxed, cool and laid back.

That's enough ranting for now. Seriously though, if you can move and you live in a small town.. do it.. or else you'll be 40 years old, wearing a baggie stained hoodie, baggie jeans yelling at people for insulting your baby cuzin even though it's not really your cousin.

This reminds me of Patton Oswalt's bit about the test of the small town. Basically he says "You pass the test when you say 'I'm leaving for before I kill everyone and then myself!' That means you pass the test. You fail the test when you say, 'I'll get a job at the Citgo so I can fill my truck up for free!' Oops you fucked up!"

Very true.. basically, if you have an IQ of over 80, have a desire to be more than trash in your lifespan then you will never be accepted by the general small towns folk.

I would love to blame the economy, their living conditions and their parents as they were growing up but I had all of those key factors there to turn me into a trashy person if we were to blame it on all of that. I just never did.. I talk like someone who has gone through college (even though I did not) and I don't get offended at small drama situations. If someone were to walk up to me and go "Hey! Your friend Clarisaa (or who ever) is a whore!"

Good for her? That's my take on it. If you even mention the name of someone they know, they get up and start going ghetto. And for some funny reason they refer to each other as literal family. "Thaz my brutha!" "Thaz my cuzin". There's no reason to get offended at something if it's simply not true.. just walk away.

You say yours is about 10,000 people....Thats a lot compared to mine. Its probably doubled, or more.

I live in a tourist town...Then there are about 10 other towns in a 15 minute driving radius, but they're the towns that you drive out of as soon as you drive in them lol

Summer time is awesome because it goes from a few thousand year round residents, to having hundreds of thousands at any given time..people of all walks of life. But beyond that, it does kinda suck. The psychology of most people around here usually leaves me thinking "WTF!!"

It amazes me to some extent......But anyway, I made a POF account to see what girls around my area are on there....Surprisingly I only know 1...We went to school together, but never knew eachother. But you raise an interesting point about online vs. local bar.......It is the same people online daily. So what the fuck is going on? They're attractive women....So why are they online EVERYDAY looking for a relationship? They can clearly go out anywhere and have guys flock to them...I don't really understand it lol I do, but at the same time I don't.

Anyway, I feel you 100% on these small town issues. You can't fart in these towns without someone 5 miles away smelling it lol
