I've recently set up an OkCupid profile but, as I'm sure you can guess, I've been failing miserably (no replies to my messages).

Could you please have a look at my profile and give me any advice?

Blunt comments preferable!

Pictures are decent. It shows you travel, and not just shots in the mirror. You seem kinda... well... older than 24.


Long story short. Pics are okay! None of you at a party or anything, but I don't really thing you're looking for a party type girl. BUT, do you have friends and/or family? You just kinda come off as a lonely bachelor to me.

I'd redo all the writing on the profile for something more creative. If I were a chick I'd picture you very nervous and uptight on a first date. Sorry, but that's just kinda projected in your profile..

Appreciate you taking the trouble to reply and yes, completely agree with your comments. Hehe I don't think I've ever met anyone who's thought I actually am the age I say but yes I actually am 24....slightly depressing thought to think I look so old )

Agree that the profile was giving too much of a lonely bachelor feel and have tried to revamp the text towards the more interesting things I get up to. I will continue to try to flesh it out and it'd be great if you could give me your thoughts on my next iteration when you get minute.

Do this. Get one pic of you dressed down with friends having a good time... Or with family.. IF you cannot pull that off for some reason (just moved to a new town, etc...) put up a pic in a Halloween costume, or something that looks kinda playful.

Then give more playful answers to the predefined questions:

I'm good at:
Losing my iPhone.


See it shows you're playful, and DHV's that you must have disposable income to afford an Internet phone. (Even though it is pretty standard these days).

The pics you have are actually really, really good. I wish I had pics of myself at those locations. You should also include one head-shot, as well.
