I was chatting with a HB8 and her friend HB5 at a club on saturday. HB5 kept making overt IOIs (like "where can I meet more men like you"). She actually made me really uncomfortable and she was really boring. My Target was HB8 who was fun and had lots of interesting things to say.

Anyway after about 30 mins of chatting with the 2 of them we had covered lots of interesting topics. To be clear none of it was sexual, and I was genuinely having a good time talking to them. I couldnt see any chance for me to be overtly sexual given the one that was really coming onto me was the one I wasnt interested in. If she wasnt there I wouldnt certainly have made more a move.

During the conversation a few things were discussed which I said I had never heard about. HB8 asked to take my email and said she would email me about them. When they were leaving I decided not to ask for a number since it felt really awkward with HB5 hanging off me. Im not sure the best way to play that situation.

However today I got an email from HB8. Quite a long one (3 paragraphs long) talking about a number of things we talked about that night. Now I realise that there is a good chance that Im just in a friend zone right now, but Im wondering what would others do in this situation. Should I continue the "friendly" conversation via email knowing that it will probably die after a while. Or should I move quickly for a meet up? How should I play this? I may as well use the opportunity since she has taken the time to contact me. Should I just drop her a mail next time we are going to that club and get her to come along?
