Hey guys! Still new to the forum, but thought I'd runa situation by you. Met a girl on okcupid a on the 6th. She messaged me first about how great I was and we had a very steady flow of messages. With decent turn around time. At the point where I was asking her out I got this from her

"(blah blah blah about something we were talking about)

Its getting late and my head feels a bit like apple sauce, but you seem particularly epic, as a heads up, not sure if you knew that or not yet. We should probably do something neighborlyish together in the near future. But I'm open to a counter argument."

So my natural response was

"(blah blah blah)

I agree 110% that we should do something soon. You're very interesting, and extremely cute. What is your schedule lookinng like?​"

And that was on the 7th and I haven't gotten a response. Where did I go wrong? Should inot have mentioned that i thought she was attractive? Was I being a try hard? Is there a way to recover?

I think you came off too eager to see her, thus you look needy. Plus the compliments were too over the top and she's heard them a thousand times. And they weren't called for in the first place. Also you did a big no-no which was ask her when she would want to hang out. Instead of "What's your schedule looking like?" or "do you want to hang out sometime?" say "me and some friends are going to *insert place/event here* next weekend. you're welcome to tag along if you'd like." In other words don't ask her, tell her.
