Hey man, here is the rule you should follow if you want to become a Tinder pro:
dont ask her questions until she has asked you one first. (especially not for the opener)
The reason is, if she fails to answer (and many do) your value is in the drain. Think about it, hot girls get dozens of matches a day, they dont have time to answer everyone’s questions. She will only for the few who build up her interest.
Therefore, you have to use not one, but
several (non-question) openers until you get her curious enough to ask a question. Once she does, you’re officially having a conversation and you can act normal (or at least switch tactics).
The
first opener has to be super low investment for the two of you, like a probe to gage her initial interest. The “hey rockstar” is good, I like to just send a smiley. The good thing about this is that if she doesn’t answer, you can write another opener without looking like a tool.
Odds are, she will answer something curt. You need to follow up with a
second opener, I like to go with a compliment like: “cute photos!
“
Again, some girls will open up, but other will require a
third opener! Now there are several options:
- a funny half-compliment
- specific interesting comment on one of her photos
- trigger her curiosity with a statement about what you are doing
- build a fantasy by mentioning something you two should do together (as a half-joke)
- mention a really cool event and say she should come
Now the girl is gradually interacting with you on more complex subjects, usually she will open up and start asking about you or the subject you brought up in a statement. If she is stubbornly refusing to ask questions, you can risk going first with some really interesting conversational topics. That will be the subject of another post!
