Dont take it badly, just personal opinion, you should try :
- a profile pic (not frontal)
- more interesting background (than watch..)
- less of a nice guy face/pose (clothes, smile etc...)
- a bit more blurred/distance in everything, let girls' imagination work for you

Does that site work at all??

I wish I was a bit more spoilt for photos...

I understand the site does work for some people, I've had a couple of dates but nothing amazing.

I'm still not very comfortable with the online thing but am trying.

As I said shortage of photos. I can get friends to take more, but I reckon the best photos are taken by people spontaneously. My friend who's been successful on POF has a female friend who always takes pics of him so he has plenty to choose from.

Any tips on how to end up in decent photos, besides asking friends to take them?

First, why would you want to "hide" from your male friends to take pics?
Second, you definitely want to get some advice from women friends as well, because from the looks of your pictures, your are defo not very savvy on that...

If you have none of the above, go for a profesional photographer... best $ you will spend for online dating...

I got my housemate to take a bunch of photos, I reckon my profile is 300% better now

I think my new write-up must be working for me too because I got my first message from an actual attractive woman, saying that my profile "caught her eye", and this was before I changed the photos.

I've actually rewritten the whole thing if anyone's interested. A lot more lowkey and less invested, hopefully that takes care of the seriousness you mentioned.
