If you have to drive, then I always try to pick up or have her go to my place first, that way I control all the logistics and it is way easier to f-close if things go well. EDIT: Didn't pay attention to the she drives to your place first (and didn't vote for it though I should have) This is obviously by far the most ideal, but harder to get them to agree than the other options.

Sorting out logistics is by far the most important thing, you're better off meeting at a Maccas's carpark near her place than a fancy bar nowhere near either of your places. Convenience for girls is a big thing.
