I'm on Badoo, and some girls only have name, age, location, and some pictures, no Interests (tags of stuff you like) or an About Me or My Ideal sections filled in.
How do you open these people?

I usually write something like ... "wow, why such a long profile?"

"Such a small profile makes me curious, ok I will help you out.....if I was stay in the same room as your best friend, what would he or she tell me about you that would make me want to get to know you? The Good and especially the bad points. :) "

TheFury: Comes off a little douchey, but oh well. I'm here because my preconceptions didn't help me out too much so far. I'll give it a go.
I gotta ask though, how is your success with it?

Pebble: That seems like asking a lot of information and effort right off the bat, so I think something simpler might work better, at least at first. It could be a good second or third message though. Also, I think it could be reworded. "By the way, your profile is EMPTY! I'm not buying a cat in a sack. Tell me a little about yourself. Why would I want to get to know you?"

Add a smiley at the end ... that basically gives you license to say douchey stuff online.... It works ok. To be honest, i mostly focus on profile and let that do the attracting for me and much less on openers.
