Slighly improving on online game regarding POF. Getting more messages now.

However, after I've built enough comfort...and when I either give them my FB/number or ask for theirs...they instantly stop replying! It's happened to be 5 times this month. For example, I built comfort with this rock chick, we chatted about her guitar in a jokey way, she was replying straight away then I said I gotta go as I'm on a trip so I gave her my facebook. No reply. I gave it a week, messaged her once...no reply. So I left it at that. The same thing happened to this other bird!

Did they expect me to be chatting to them on POF forever? I wanted to move on before the conversations on POF were becoming stale. Surely my facebook is an indicator that I'm not a fake profile...(you get lots of fake profiles on POF).

Before anyone says " you should be getting out and meeting other birds" I do! I'm just using other means as well.

You are talking too much, not too little I bet. Go for the number/arranging a meeting early in the process. Don't give her your facebook, you are already talking online, wtf is the point of that?

I actually talk slightly less than them! She was asking me lots of questions, IOI etc.

Facebook...so she can see who I am, what circles I'm in etc.

Anyone can give out a number. Plus 99% of people where I live use facebook communication rather than texting.

Then get a real life meeting quickly... if facebook is how you communicate vs text fine, and no, I still think you are probably communicating too much, because if you did not ask for her information from an online dating site within 2 or 3 messages, you are beating around the bush too much. There are tricks to ask for the information without appearing needy (PM me) But the principle is, you are on an online dating site, she knows the second you message her you want to meet in real life, so why waste time and increase the risk you will turn her off, say something stupid, or that she just forgets about you because you didn't make a move? If you are asking in 2-3 messages, then ignore what I said, PM me some conversations and I'll try to help.
