Been out of the game for 6 years. A lot has changed I'm my life since I was 20(marriage then divorce and a single father with partial custody) and trying to get back into it. This is my profile currently and I know it's afc as fuck!:

"Ive lived in North Carolina for the past 6 years while serving in the Marine Corps before deciding to return to NY because I wanted a proper education. I ride motorcycles....a lot....so you better be able to hang on and enjoy adrenaline rushes. I also have a daughter who I put my life on hold for anytime I can get her as she lives in NC still with her mother. If you can't handle me being a father you can keep walking as she always comes first.

-I am an animal owner with a dog, cat and turtle.
-I am a foodie and can cook better than most anyone you'll meet and will have you trying things you never thought would taste good.
-Motorcycles, love everything about them.
-Randomness is my brand of humor so if you are uptight and afraid to be silly in public then kick rocks.

With that said, if I come off as an ass I probably should... and if I say something completely random to you that comes straight out of left field, it's probably me screwing around with you. :-) Please by all means take everything I say seriously :-P. However if I come off as an ass who happens to be quirky, funny, and down right stunning... you'd probably be correct on pretty much all accounts"

Hey Whitey,

I feel for you and having to get back in the game after a lot of tough life events. I work with a lot of guys who are in the same situation and really have a hard time feeling exactly who they are and what they want, let alone write it in an online dating profile.

You've made a good start with your profile, and I really like the part about the motorcycles and how they had better be able to hang on. I also like the honesty about your daughter and the place she holds in your life. It's very attractive to see a man put responsibility first and value family.

Overall, however, I think it's a bit rough around the edges, and maybe just a bit too blunt. In general , there's no need to use the word "ass". Also, you seem to be a bit on the defensive like you're warning women off rather than trying to attract them.

It's kind of like you're saying, "Well this is who I am, warts and all, and that's the way it is and if you can't deal with it move on."

That may be honest, but it comes off as being closed off, rigid and defensive and that is not an attractive vibe to put out. Maybe that's what you're feeling like in your life after divorce etc, but profiles MUST be positive.

Check out my free tips http://www.profilediva.net/tips.html and guides http://www.profilediva.net/guides.html and see if they have anything that would help you.

Best of luck!
