At first I thought she was just messing with me for fun, but wasn't entirely sure. Given the second follow up after I delayed though I wonder if I misinterpreted her tone...

EDIT: I can't even think of a response to move it towards meeting, without sounding desperate... hmm...

So guessing by the lack of response I'm not the only one who's confused. Gave up on her anyway, felt like it was going nowhere and she was actually starting to annoy me.

Well she is replying and there is interest she''s just not an easy person to talk to and quite quirky. I'd mention that she's quirky in a sort of 'you're so adorable' tone. Also this is just chit chat skimming the surface small talk. You'll want to try and get to know more about her otherwise it's going nowhere. She's actually telling you she wants you to get her to talk about herself since she said . She's self absorbed so indulge her.

You can easily ask her questions to keep the conversations moving forward.

Just ask her. What's the problem. No transition, no nothing. A bunch of conversation isn't improving your chances here. Should have just said: "I'll be the judge of that.. meet me for a drink your name yournumber"
