Hey All,
I am just about to finish University, and today I had a facebook message from a girl who is apparently about to start my course in September. Not friends with her or everything, we have a mutual friend. She's at least an 8 or 9, and she's from another country, so is going to be moving here.
Her message had a very friendly tone and she wanted to know more about the course, asking a bunch of questions. What was odd was that our mutual friend, and a bunch of others who share the mutual friend, all do the same course, so unless she's contacted them all I can't help but think there's an ulterior motive for contacting me.
So I was wondering how I best transition into some personal chat. Even though I am leaving the Uni this year I live close to it, so I could offer to be a tour around the city or something, or is that too obvious/needy?
All suggestions greatly appreciated.
I´d say: "sure I can be your guide if you´ll tell me about "capital of her country", I´m thinking of going there:)"
If you use the word "sure" that way, you make it sounds as if you thought she was asking for a guide, it´s a basic sales technique
