Having hardly any luck at POF. Tweaked my profile, changed pictures a bit (they aren't the best as I haven't been out recently due to an injury), and sent them interesting messages...quite a few from this forum.

None of this "hi how are you" bullshit. I either tease them, neg them slightly or comment on their profile.

My response rate is terrible...probably about 10%...not even that, and I've actually been blocked numerous times from just sending one message! I saw that this HB7 wanted to meet me (POF), so I messaged her to start things off...BLOCKED! I'm literally scratching my head at this one... I don't send perverted messages or anything that's obvious.

I thought girls liked guys who shave their heads and train at the gym? I ain't AFC but I'm not getting much futher on that site.

I've got a pic of me surfing, a pic of me with other girls (DHV), a picture of my Dog etc.


Also, I got chatting to a HB8 for a week 2 weeks ago, it went great...I asked for her facebook...she refused...saying that she'd rather get to know people before giving out her details. I said fair enough...built comfort and chatted to her on that...asking interesting questions.
She replies...no problem...I reply in the affirmative...still building comfort...being interesting and teasing her slightly. No reply. I thought...give it a few days... Still no reply. I message her again...even though she's online...still no reply. So I left it at that.

A. DHV pics can actually do the opposite because girls don't care about other girls you can get on a dating website, they'd much rather a guy make said girl feel special.
B. Also loose the pout in your photos and add a real smile, real smiles are what can make so much different on a dating website.

Also be warned about the usual, many other guys, idea that pof is a really shallow dating website etc. so yeah don't expect a great reply rate from that website specifically.

Ok, I will give a little of what I see on your profile.

All of the up close face shots made me think two things. You look kinda Gay with the puffy lips look, that many close ups make you look arrogant and self centered.

Two pictures of your Dog? WTF!?!?! If you want to show girls you like animals and have a dog, get someone to take a pic of you jogging with your dog. This shows active/healthy lifestyle and animal lover.

Your headline "Cougar's" is that all you are seeking? Because girls in your age range will think the worst which in online dating means "Next".

The surfing photo is fine (Sporty/active/travels), and the one with the group of girls is good (social proof/fun times).

Get a picture of you hanging out doing something with your buddies (guys or in a mixed group)

You entire first paragraph is written with a sense of negativity. Ho-hum, I am doing this because I have nothing better to do. Sigh...Think "Eore" from Whinny the Pooh!

"I surround myself with optimistic people who are going somewhere in life, and no, I don't mean McDonalds." and then you say "I'm very open-minded" I want to emphasize VERY! You contradict yourself with these two statements! An open minded person would not judge someone whos life led them to McDonalds.

"I love dogs, beaches, surfing, meaningful conversations, and training in the gym." All good qualities but they are already identified in your pictures (or should be). Get rid of the training in the gym part. If your living a helthy lifestyle it will show without talking about it. Now what you can is say "I want to meet someone who is active"

I think the Katy Perry line is good and shows some humor, the txt lik dis 1 can go tho (open minded)...If you don't like the messages your getting just dont respond. I hope this helps give you some direction.
