They reply and I've got no idea how to follow it up.

In real life I'd probably twist their words or carry on the convo but online seems different

try to get her to talk about herself, this will reveal all kinds of great info. try asking questions that require more than a yes or no. such as whats your opinion on the..........?

also be aware of her comfort level as you talk to her, but sure and not talk her head off, and also be aware of whether or not shes digging the conversation. if she seems like shes annoyed just say something like nevermind, or its all good i was just curious.

remember you are approaching a total stranger so your comfort level should be about the same as hers if its not then you need to exit


as far as conversation goes being humorous helps, and dont try and one up her on her stories if she tells you a story. listen to her, she will let you know through body language how the interaction is going
