I seem to be on a bad run with girls not replying after we've started a message chat on OKC. Obviously, the competition is fierce, so they're dividing their priorities elsewhere. I really don't think it's what I'm saying to them.

However, it just seems to be happening really regularly lately...like a high proportion of girls who reply. If they don't reply after 2 days, I take a look at their profile - I don't like doing this, but it gets them replying sometimes. I've also chased them via another message, along the lines of 'hey - did I upset you or something' - this has gotten things started again and I've had dates off it.

I just wonder how you guys handle it, and how common it is? For some reason, since I've been back on OKC from Oct 12, it just seems far more regular than when I went there before...

It's online dating.... if you so much as cough the wrong way while writing her a message, her chick powers will sense it and she'll use it as a reason to not respond to you.

Seriously though, it is frustrating. My problem isn't so much in getting the girl to continue the conversation but getting them to reply PERIOD (the ones that do reply usually stick).

For the ones that don't reply, don't send something like "did i upset you?" That screams AFC. My go-to is "He dork, still alive? Do I need to send the robot blood hounds to rescue you?" or some variant (credit to whoever came up with it. Or, alternatively, just send her another conversational opener as if she never flaked on the response. There are some girls who just won't reply for whatever reason. Nothing you can do bout them.
