So I posted earlier about my first line working to get a girl's attention on myspace and proceeded to continue the conversation. It seemed to be going well and she would respond to the same day every time I sent a message...that is, until the last one. Let me know if you see anything I did wrong. Start from the bottom and move up to read the entire convo:

Me: haha, well you seem somewhat cool so i think i'm going to call you. and don't worry, a phone call is pretty innocent because if you turn out to be scary or weird, i can just hang up and cut my losses, haha;-)

HB8: Aww that's cool, and the spice girls was a fucking hilarious idea so kiss it.

Me: "PersonA" pays me to come in there and party on occasion, kind of like clubs do with paris hilton...except i'm way more awesome and party much better than her! haha, really though, he's a family friend. but on a more serious note, that spice girls thing for halloween was a pretty cool idea...i mean, if it were 10 years ago ;-)

HB8: um its called lifetime, the women's channel actually...and its the shit:) Yes i work at "BarA" when im home for the summer and winter breaks, so i will be back in a week to start work again:) "PersonA" loves me, how do you know him?

Me: haha, well i just tried to watch an episode but apparently i don't have a subscription to the "old person channel" but yea, so you work at "BarA", what do you think of PersonA?

HB8: Shut up! Its awesome!!!you should watch it!!!!!

Me: You're first favorite tv show is Golden Girls? That's pretty cool, my Grandma watches that everyday too..haha.

getting numbers online is tough, i really didnt sense too much comfort building, you fluffed on those topics, but for next time go for a screen name and eventually a number later on once she has time to feel that she is comfortable talking to you on the phone

you went wrong trying to get her phone # online.
Also Don't ask for her screenname either
Both are too personal if she gives it to you she'll have to worry about you bugging her.

You should have told her you two should meet up sometime in a public place like the Mall. Get the number once your together in person provided the meeting has gone well.

You've kinda already messed up by asking for her number

"I fucking HATE myspace... its too damn slow. Is there a way we can talk that's at least a little faster then old people boinking??"

why it works
1) its funny
2) its indirect
3) she still has plausible deniablity (we were messaging on myspace, but its too slow)
4) she has control over how she decides to contact you, and when. that gives her comfort.
5) it starts to initiate some really low grade "sexual" talk into the conversation.

Online sarging though doesn't really prepare you at all for real life situations. Anyone can be Don Juan online typing messages, but in the end when you meet her you are still an AFC. My advice, avoid trying to get dates online. You may end up using it as a crutch seeing as it is much easier to talk online then in person.

No you just don't know the way to go about it when talking to women online. Yes when a guy does it incorrectly he'll have negative views of talking to women online. Some girls you won't win but when done right you won't be wasting too much time back and forth chit chatting with no progress

The key is to spend the least amount of time talking online and get the fone number/meet up as soon as possible.

IMO
