... and we've been talking on Facebook a lot. She is, however hot, extremely geeky and obsessed with studying. We'd had already become friends, when I kind of fell for her (total AFC style) and I confronted her: asking for a date. The situation was complicated by the fact that I had a girlfriend back then (broke up today) and she has a long-distance boyfriend, and the fact that a mutual female friend told her she liked me. At first she said no, then yes, then no, then yes. So I asked whether she was certain enough for me to break up with my girlfriend, then she said no. Then I asked whether she would break up with her boyfriend, she said yes, then no, then yes. So I thought: fuck it, I have my girlfriend, we'll see what happens.
Me: I broke up with my girlfriend just now, could really use a distraction

[needy, I know, but I thought our friendship should warrant some response]
Her: why?? Ithought your relationship was about to be better and better. it must be tough for you. as it always is. Was it your decision or her? But to be honest, i figured out that you had a lot of doubts according this on/off relationship so mayb now it is better. Apparently in my situaiton is the way around. ggot text from my boyfirend taht he arrives on [some date]
Me: You're not doing well in the distraction department

It was my decision, I'm not in love with her anymore and I don't wanna lie to her or lead her on (yes, I know this surprises you, but I have morals too). She agreed we could still be friends though and she said she'd call me when she was ready. But what do you mean that your situation is the other way around? I thought you came to your senses and would break up with your boyfriend when he came by.
Her: now i dont know. its too difficult to say defenetly it is over. I think we will talk, i was thinking about him recently a lot, and i have to confess, although we now face difficult situation, i really miss him and wish he was here with me. And of course if he comes only to say goodbye i will not fight with him, but agree and the way around, if he ask me to marry him, i will agree. strange isnt it? Life confuses me. much more than often
Me: We are such romantics, you and I. But while my romanticism expresses itself in the search for true love, yours expresses itself in the the desire to be completely dependent on some guy who doesn't even appear to want you [this guy must be a master PUA, he texted her that he went on a holiday to some crazy party location, then didn't contact her for two weeks, and she still clings to him like a fucking baby]. Frankly, your version is crazy

Anyway, now that I am a free man again, I want to take you up on your offer for a date

And don't worry, I won't tell your fiancee / ex ;P
Her: haha

funny. "we ll see, shall we?" :p its from [her favorite movie] quote

) btw. i have a question concerning [some scientific article]. I dont know what is [blabla]?
Me: A quote, is it? I have one for you: "Perhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong." -Winston Churchill. You can come over if you like, I'll tell you all about [blabla]. I have something to drink, you can bring the cookies

[inside joke]
Her: haha ! Ok i ll ask [some other guy in our class]

I deduce I pushed too much. Should I react to this last message? If so, what? Or is this a lost cause, as I'm afraid it might be? I'm not focusing all my attention on this girl, but I would like to get in her pants anyway (and perhaps more than that, since we have a certain chemistry). Advice and opinions are greatly appreciated.
EDIT: She just followed up with a compliment on my in class presentation concerning this article.
