After reading Darth Vader's online opener thread, decided to put together a PoF account for kicks. Got great results with his initial opener, getting loadsof replies within minutes, and from ther on, I've just been sending out a few new messages a day while working on the ones that already got reponses.

So, one of the first girls I opened and started messaging back and forth (HB9) didn't have a whole lot of info to work with on her profile, and the initial thread was getting stale, but I didn't want to waste the gambler line just yet, so I gave her the jealous girlfriend routine. Turned out she'd not only had it used on her before, but she just said outright "that's the jealous girlfriend opener haha". (I'd reworded it so it couldn't just be googled and bring her here).

So, I played off the fact that she wasn't very forthcoming, and it was more interesting than me giving her the same old interview routine she was probably getting constantly. Course, at this point I figure she's about to blow me out completely, but when she replied, she totally agreed and even went along with the opener, knowing it was just a routine. Hahaha.

So, going to see about some less obvious openers for staled threads and consider this a lesson learned.

It happens. The girls who get really worked up about it make me laugh. They really expect people to go through a time consuming process of making a clever, lengthy, original message for every single girl.
