I see a lot women on dating sites like POF that say next to nothing about themselves on their profile and usually this type are quite hot.

Its usually something like : I am just an ordinary girl who like going out with friends and cosy nights in. If you want to know more just ask....

But when you ask a question its actually very hard to get a response. Whats the best way to open in this situation and get a conversion flowing?

Guessing due to lack of response its the same as any other?

Usually women who don't put a lot of time into their online profiles don't put a lot of time into responding to messages on their profiles either. If they don't have much "Skin in the game" or time spent working on their profile they more than likely aren't too invested in it.

One of the ways you can attempt to get a response is to appeal to that part of the girl who isn't convinced about online dating or filling out the entire profile.

Something like, "What's up with all these questions and things to fill out on here. I think this online dating thing everyone is doing is pretty dumb. Why can't two people just talk and see what happens?"

Yep I agree 100%. This also ties in with women with profiles like this usually be quite hot. They know all they have to do is post up one pic and they will get endless messages. It can be very difficult to actually stand out from the crowed in this situation especially on POF.

Darthvaders "hey I would remove that picture from your profile" followed on by "lol I hope you can take a joke, I thougt you were adorable and just had to say hi. Im (insert name)" has worked wonders for me. It will open about 80%

The only problem with using this particular opener is it has been used a whole lot online. This is almost as popular as "Who lies more..." in the online world. Its a pretty good approach overall, but you could just go direct too.

If you go through JSmooth's unfortunately closed online game thread, I asked this question over a year ago (how to respond to what I call 'SUBFPs' - stupid ultra boring female profiles) and he kindly gave a good cut and paste message to use for such females.

Honestly, the best results I have found on POF is "Serious question...You can only pick on, no cheating!!! Strawberries, M&M's, or Skittles?" I am an average looking guy and I'm getting well over 50-60% replies.

I don't follow the rest of the scripted routine as I am really good at C&F with the online dating. No matter what they say in response I bust on them!

Typical replies:
HB: Strawberries!!!
Crypto: Interesting, what kind of girl doesn't like chocolate (She will be forced to defend herself (HB are compelled)).
HB: No, I like chocolate!

HB: Are they Peanut or Plain M&M's?
Crypto: OMG you so can't follow directions! I bet you spent a lot of time in detention didn't you?!

The Strawberry Fields opener does not require any information to be in your targets profile. I usually search for new users every Tuesday/Wednesday and send about 10-15 messages a week.
