Best way to get digits is to give her a reason to give it to you. It also should be done when the conversation is at a peak.

E.G.

If she agrees to meet up with you it would make sense for her to give you her number.

You: "I like rock music"
Her: "Me too my favourite bands are blah blah"
You: "They are awesome, next time they are in town we should go to a gig"
(You're not making definite plans but she has agreed in future)
Her: That would be cool
You: What's your number?/I'll need your number
(She's more likely to give it to you to save the awkwardness of agreeing to come and then going back on it)


Another one I mainly use if I'm not sure she is down to meet up...

You: I have to go /My internet connection is playing up so I'm going to shoot off.
Her: OK I'll see you soon
You: Tell you what, what's your number?
