She writes on my wall (we're face book friends but we hardly talk online or otherwise) and says something like. Ah, I won't see you in class all week, your cool!

is this likely to be an ioi? we won't see each other in class because it was canceled all week, to that comment could apply to alot of people

I would take it as an oppurtunity to get her outside of class.

Setup something with a frew friends to goto a bar/club/comedey lounge/cafe, and invite her along

YOU: "Its not the class that makes me cool. Im cool outside of class too, im happy we dont have class this week frees up some time for me to relax and have fun with friends."

Her: "blah blah"

YOU: "Hey me and a few friends are goin to x at y time, your invited to come."

Then game her at whatever place, if she says she cant go or doesnt show up, neg her a bit. Just dont act too intrested because so what if she cant go, your gonna be there anyway. Her lose not yours.

whoa, she got back to me within 6 hours on a friday night. I'm caught off guard.

I told her she's cool too, and we should get together out of class since it's almost over.

She replied pretty much agreeing with me about class (and doing something out of it) and thanking me for telling her she's cool, and then asked if I was taking the course following the one we're in now (I'm not). I don't want to reply right away, how can i respond in a couple days that will facilitate escalation. we're in the same class, but like I said its so big we rarely see each other in it
