So here's the thing - I've just become friends with an old school friend on Facebook who I haven't seen in like 15 years. And she's looking hot!

Would definitely like to open her again and see what can happen. I'm new to all this, so would definitely like to tap into your collective knowledge and get some advice?

I don't know anything about her, and the last time I saw here was when we were both at pre-teen and at school. What advice can you give me on how to approach this - like I said I'm new to all this, so don't really want to send a message with a load of interview style questions!

Already got some history with her. Why don't you just go ahead and say hi, and ask her how she's been. There should be plenty of things to talk about given the 15 years you haven't spoken. Remember, frame is everything.

I've no issues with having anything to talk about given it's been 15 years, but if I open like that then the interaction is instantly framed as 2 old school friends catching up = friend zone = exactly where I don't want to be.

It's been 15 years big boy. It's your job to frame it so she overlooks the fact that you never got together back then. You could do that by doing alot of DHV's, tell her about your amazing time nowadays with job/life/travels/whatever you got going for you, and tease her about how geeky she used to be.(Even if she were the promqueen) She needs to understand that it was YOUR choice not getting with her back then.

Just say, "I would say 'long time, no see'. But, 15 years is really pushing it. Don't you think? "
