Alright guys so I'm kinda a noob to this whole thing, and I thought I'd give FB a try to meet some girls figuring I had nothing to lose. Well I tried out an opener I found on this board posted a while back on this one random girl:
"I'm Justin, not sure if we've met but you look really familiar. You're pretty cute, are you fun and interesting too? I'm kinda picky :) "
and got no response after 7 hours. I was wondering if there was anything else I could possibly say if she doesn't answer, which it doesn't seem like she's going to...or should I just move on to the next one? Maybe she thought I came off like a creep or something. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you have any mutual friends? Do you have any pictures on your profile? How many friends do you have? Those are all things that a girl will look at, since you said that you're new I just wanted to make sure that you had all those thing down. Chances are she thought you were a creep.

I've used Facebook to game with various degrees of success. What you have to remember is that it is very different to gaming in person.

Theoretically, when it comes to gaming in clubs, bars and other 'real-life' situations, there is no girl you can't get if you play it the right way. However, with Facebook (and similar sites) sometimes there's really nothing you can do - you just don't have the opportunities to attract a girl online that you do have in person. Even with the perfect opener, some girls just won't reply and there's nothing you can do about it. It's not a reflection on your game; it's just evidence that Facebook will never replace gaming in person.

I wouldn't take it to heart. Just understand that when it comes to online gaming, there isn't always a lesson or a mistake. Sometimes you just fail.

Turns out I did get a response, but not quite the one I was looking for lol, she said:
"How can I look familiar if we have no mutual friends?"
She's got me there, idk what to say haha. Maybe I should've put some more thought into this. Anyone got any advice as to what say?

Don't let yourself get affected by it.

Tell her that "The world is not governed by facebook. Are you telling me that you have a mutual friend with everyone in your friends list?"
