So I've been back to trying out online dating the past 2 days and I managed my first number close. I noticed a few things

1 - Girls don't tend to type long messages, especially the attractive ones, so I noticed I had to work fast.
2 - The lack of depth in their responses doesn't mean a lack of interest.

Here's how my first number close with an HB8 went (bullshitting the entire time). I don't really use a standard opener, but I pick and choose things in their profile to poke fun at. Here's how our convo went:
Here response seemed playful enough and showed some IoIs. I decided to bite her response was short-winded, so I decided to do the same and remain playful with it. After this, I decided to go in for the kill: And lastly, her response - Score! This made me notice a few things. I was completely playful, confident, worked fast, and the number request transitioned smoothly from our little improv. I got a nickname for her right off the bat, and I didn't say one thing about her looks. It seems getting a girl to laugh is the best way to get her number online as well.

However, I'm wondering if I could've done a bit better. I feel my second message may have been a bit heavy when justifying why we should try out dating as two Scorpios. As I said, I'm newly into this again. Thoughts?

you sound mad funny dude. but it also sounds like you are anxious to please the girl. i don't get any dates from dating sites so i'm not the best judge of things, quoting what the girl said in your reply is something some girls said they liked when i did it. also try to get her to talk about herself by asking about something she said. also when you call her and set up the first date, for the first date coffee shops and restaurants did not work for me. but taking a girl somewhere to the night life, like a dancing class at a night club has worked better for me. also when you call her if she says she is not sure when she wants to meet, if she says "maybe next weekend" say you are busy and have a tight schedule and that she needs to give you a specific day and time to meet... and take her somewhere cheap.. you take yourself to 5 star restaurants, but the girls you take for $10 meals. that's my philosophy. also i tell them i cannot receive or send text messages because i blocked it on my cellphone (which i really did). also if she is late to the date, just turn around and leave. she will be calling you four times in a row after that from my experience. also call her an hour before the date to make sure she is still going.
