Hey guys. Thought i'd dip my hand in online soup so I made an OKC account. Read JoeSki's post on success with online dating and it all seems pretty straightforward. I already have have a couple pics that express a nice wide range of stuff (looking good, me being fun, etc) Would like to get an opinion or two on the actual text so I can fine tune my page (which seems to me to be the key to success with this kinda stuff). Thanks in advance

My self-summary
Hello OKC!
It's been over two years since I moved from Arizona to La La Land and I couldn't be happier. There's just so much more this town has to offer: from the sunny beach cities to the downbeat echo park scene. Each day, I feel like there's adventure just around the corner that I need to cash in on. It's definitely given me the chance to expand my horizons and I always love taking in as much as I'm giving. I dislike those negative people that you see carry themselves and everyone else around them down. You need to at least try to enjoy living, ya know?

What I’m doing with my life
At present, I'm a background actor for film and television. Nothing fancy, but Its honest work and it pays the bills while I work on my side projects. Gotta keep up with all my artsy friends. As a hobby, I do boxing with the hopes of taking other fighting classes in the future. Blame it on all the Bruce Lee films I've watched but that guy was a total badass. No shame in that. Plus it makes working out not seem completely pointless in my mind.

I'm looking into writing screenplays and acting classes for the future. When I have the free time I like to mix in legal studies (A smart actor's gotta have that back up plan)

I’m really good at
-Navigating
-Not letting things bother me
-Boxing. I take my class twice a week. Someday I'll wanna do other mixed martial arts stuff like Muay Thai and Sambo
-Dressing well

The first things people usually notice about me
I have a dead pan sense of humor and am generally silly

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books
-Neuromancer
-Anything by Philip K. Dick
-Lolita

Movies
-Southland Tales
-The City of Lost Children
-All the Phantasm movies
-The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Shows
-Lexx
-Deadwood (still watching)
-Community

Music
-It's Blitz
-featuring Little Dragon
-Matt Berry
-Indie Rock
-Musicals
-Stuff that makes you pop

The six things I could never do without
Music
Friends
YMCA membership
The Sartorialist
Torrents
Vinyl Records

(I'll be staight that I saw someone else do this so I borrowed the Idea)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
50% Constructing myself a better tomorrow
15% All the countries I wanna travel to
15% Staying healthy and fit
17% Epic screenplay stories
03% Dirty minded thoughts

On a typical Friday night I am
Making memories with friends, strangers, and lovers

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have no intention of eating anyone

I’m looking for

* Girls who like guys
* Ages 18-25
* Near me
* Who are single
* For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners

You should message me if
I’m an empty essay... fill me out!

I like it. The profile doesn't come across as needy or sappy and it keeps the reader's attention. I may have added a few cocky lines here and there, but that's just my style.

David DeAngelo has some great material on online dating, check it out.

I like the overall positivity. I think you're a little heavy on the boxing thing. It's great to mention; women like a guy who can protect her. But mentioning taking classes 2 times a week is try-hard.

I would mention any famous actors you've worked with? "And it gives me a chance to learn from the greats like [actor's name]"

I'd leave that part about dressing well out. Don't play yourself up with words. Dressing in particular should be shown through your pictures.

I'm unsure about the friday night bit including "lovers." I guess it depends on the type of women you're going for. But you don't want a woman to get the impression she's just going to be another friday night memory, and nothing else.

And fill in the "message me if" box.
