This post is going to apply directly to POF as Im sure the majority of you are using this site as it is free. As for the paying sites they are not that great anyways. Also, in my experience the same chicks are on the paying sites that are on POF so don’t waste your money!

Making a full and complete profile is key. Putting in this upfront effort will pay huge dividends. First of all you will get way more hits and messages. Also, when sending messages to girls you are interested in you profile will go a long way to back you up and increase you chances of getting a response.

Guys the interest’s section is the easiest to fill out. Do your best to list at least 20 things here, the more the better. Make it a wide variety of things. Some common ones I would suggest are: music, working out, fitness, socializing, making friends, reading, any fitness type activities you are involved in: hockey, basketball, track, soccer, hiking, biking, MMA, etc... Also, something’s that shows your softer side some examples: poetry, painting, writing, etc… Now you need to show a girl you are adventurous and exciting so list things like: traveling, sightseeing, hunting, sailing, etc… Now you want to show a girl that you have ambition so things like these examples will illustrate this: real estate, stock market, learning, self improvement, etc.. Lastly you want to show your cultured side so list some things like these: wine, gourmet dining, current events, etc…

The statistic section you think would be the easiest part to fill out but I see guys making mistakes here all the time. A big failure I have seen is guys saying they are looking for a intimate encounter or nothing serious. DO NOT DO THIS!! You will instantly exclude yourself from more then half the women on the site. Instead choose Dating or Long Term. Just because you have chose dating or long term doesn’t mean you cant hit on girls that are not looking for anything serious. Just be careful if you message girls looking for an intimate encounter you will no longer be able to message a lot of women. As many of women will exclude members that message people looking for intimate encounters.

Now onto PICTURES I write this in capitals because this is the most important section by far. Your profile picture should be one of two things. Either a profile shot of you or something different. BY different I mean different from the norm. Take a look at the guys profiles and see what everyone else is putting up put something up that looks different from the majority. IF you insist on using a normal picture then make sure it is one of you wearing red, orange or yellow. Those colors really stick our and will attract attention. Experiment with your profile picture tracking how many hits you get and when you find one that seems to get you more hit stick with it. Ok guy heres a huge mistake, stay away from the douche bag shots of you standing in the mirror. Showing off your abs is good but it needs to be done in the right way. You chilling on the beach drinking beers with your buds good. You standing in a mirror with a camera BAD!!! So don’t do that shit because any quality chicks will discard you as a loser immediately. Your allowed to put up 8 pictures so put up 8 pictures. Make them a variety some with you doing activities like sports, some of your traveling, some of you dressed up nicely in fancy clothes, show you variable personality here and that you can be comfortable in a variety of situations and environments.

Now onto the body of your profile. Start with introducing yourself. Something like this, “Hello ladies my name is Turbo. I am a driven and motivated individual that is on a great path. I am looking for a special lady to share quality time with.” Next elaborate on some of the interests you listed in your interests section. Talk about some skills you have that a woman would be interested in learning. For myself I am good at working out and eating right. So I talk about how I like to share my fitness and nutrition knowledge. Do you like music? Say it and list off a bunch of cool concerts you have attended. Have you traveled? Talk about your travels some of the things you have seen and some of the places you have been. Do you cook and clean? Tell girls about this. Trust me guys girls are looking for a versatile guy. They want a guy that can be manly and still be involved in the softer activities that are more traditionally reserved for women.

So what are you going to do for a first date? Nothing crazy that’s for sure. I mean you are meeting someone off the Internet lol. So state that for a first date you would like to do something simple like a coffee or a quick drink and you will save the out of the ordinary ideas for the second date. I suggest that you push for the quick drink though because as I outlined in a previous post getting a little alcohol involved always make the conversation flow more freely.

OMG if you put on POF a picture of you standing by the mirror with a camera on your hand, YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE PART OF THIS COMMUNITY, man!

One thing I've done for my profile is very simple: I look at the profile of the girls and I tend to "mirror" the ones that most attracts me.

Example: a lot of girls says in their profile "You you're not honest please don't message me" or "I hate games".
So I've put in my profile, right at the beginning: "First of all, I hate gold-diggers. If you're a gold-digger, please don't message me".

I also like full descriptive profiles. I hate when the girl describe herself in two line.
So I made sure I do a full description of me, with some background history and DHV like crazy.

I agree a lot with the pictures. They need to be neat and significatives.
Don't have picture "you and your best friend" I hate those. They'll just think "who the hell is that guy? Witch one of the guy is him? Is he gay?"
Instead, put pictures "you and a bunch of your friends", maybe even with a red circle around your face (lol). You can even put, let's say, a hockey game field and draw a circle on one of the player, LOL.

Well come on if there are some AFC's doing the mirror picture they are here to improve hopefully our posts will give their head a shake.

Any advice on how to write a message that will get the girl to respond. I usually make sure I mention key things they mention in their profile, such as their favorite books. What could I say that would get them to respond.

Saying you want to date is saying you are looking for nothing serious right now. But quite frankly if you do want to sleep around best pick is "dating". POF has removed the other options it had, so you can't pick say "Activity Partner" or "Other Relationship" anymore, which where basically code for sex for the most part.
I am not saying its bad to show your softer side, but its best not to do it too much as most girls won't be attracted to a guy that is too soft.

Some other things I have figured out that you need to consider when writing your profile.

Always start with humour. It sets the 'tone' for them to read the rest of the profile. Personally I like to use a bit of self deprecating humour because it shows I don't take life too seriously and that I can take a bit of banter. (Its different to DLV because of the humour) I'll give some samples that give a general feel but you should try and make your own:

'My mum says that I'm a keeper, but I suspect that she means kept locked in a closet, in the basement. I really miss that closet sometimes. '

'After filling in this section I realise my spelling is atrocious (I had to look that up).'




Build rapport

This is where you make women feel comfortable and demonstrate how you are attuned to her needs. Basically you demonstrate you know what women want. WOMEN LOVE MEN WHO LOVE WOMEN. Hint that you're a sexual being.

This does not mean pour your heart out onto your profile and tell her your life story. Stop doing that!!! Its just creepy and lame. Mystery creates intrigue and intrigue turns to interest.interest = attraction.

Mystery can be created by not SPAM too many details. Avoid talking about yourself too much. Be aloof. Don't talk about you're job and don't be too specific. Allow her to use her imagination to figure you out. Think of movie trailers or an episode of lost. Give her a taster and then cut the supply. Create suspense and anticipation!






Demonstrating Higher Value

The key to DHV is qualifiers and showing confidence. Get the girl to qualify herself to you. Get her to chase you. Get her to jump through you're hoops. Take control and be a man.
Do not kiss her ass! Act like you know something that she doesn't. (key for hotter women)
Don't tell them you have high values (ironically telling her you have high values shows her you have low values). Instead directly SHOW them you have high values.
