I had some spare time so I decided to play with facebook a bit.

I`ve been searching through mutual friends and bookmarked a couple of HBs. I have added some of them as friends and they accepted. Now I have another pack of HBs and want to try the other approach with just sending an opener without adding them as friends. For the third pack I plan on sending a friend request with a message attached, so hopefully they would accept me and reply at the same time.

Which would be your preferable method? What are your favourite openers? I have tried some that I`ve found on this forum but had little success. I think I am gonna go with direct approach now. Also should an opener to a girl that already accepted me as friend be any different than to the ones that I am sending just a message? Is it better to go directly to chat or communicate just via messages? Just wanna find out what works best for you guys

For all I know it's best to send a message and NOT request friends right away. Ever had some random person add you on FB? It's weird and you'll be like, who the fuck is this creep? Atleast that's what I thought.
Send her a playfull message which lures a response and you can always add her as a friend later.

yea it turns out you`re right ... got more responses from a direct message than friend requests. But with some of them I can`t figure how to reply, like this one for example.

I`ve send a message with a short story saying basicly that i`ve seen her look-a-like double on saturday night bla bla to which she replied: haha, but I was at home that night. Nice story but you sure didn`t see me )

Should i throw in another dhv story or would that be too much? Make a comment about what is she doing at home on a saturday night? I also can`t determine if this is a positive or a negative response from her... Well i guess if she replies in the first place there must be something positive in it

I think it's kinda weak to come up with a look-a-like story though. It's like 'hey I saw someone that looks like you!'...'O gee thanks, why don't you look her up instead.'
Get my point?

Just be real with her, 'Did we meet before? You look like a fun/cool/cute/hot/super sexy girl. You got anything going on besides X?'

As for now, yes you're right she is atleast the slightest bit interested to reply. Maybe out of curiosity, but it's better than nothing right. Just interpretend every reply positive and you'll make it alot easier for yourself.
You could tease her about staying home, sure. Maybe try 'Wow what you been doing on your saturdaynight then? Playing world of warcraft all night? you nerd ' just be original with that.
Or you could come back with: 'O darn I think I've mistaken you for a hot girl, my bad! I'd still like to get to know you, since we're talking now anyways. '
