Hey guys, first off let me state that I am relatively new to PUA. I've been doing it for around a month and I must say, I've gotten a lot better from when I started.

So I have seen this girl at my gym for a while, but back when I was AFC never thought to approach her. Well earlier this week I approached her and talked to her for a little. I am a competitive bodybuilder and she told me she was interested in learning about competing so I said, "I'm your man to talk to, whats the best way of getting in contact with you?" and she gave me her email.

Here are the emails verbatim. And please, be blaitently honest, I take criticism very well and I want to improve my game.

My first email:

"Hows it going HB9? It's Rigit23.

I really like your original email address, you look really good for 72! But then again, I think look pretty good for 2012....... :)

I think it's really awesome you want to compete. It is a long and arduous process but the benefits are absolutely worth it. Just a little back story on myself.....

I decided I wanted to compete back in the fall of 2007. I searched around and found lots of information about competing and read every article I could find about it. I had heard really great things about the trainer I decided to choose. His name is TRAINER and he specializes with Natural competitors. Natural competitors are those who don't use steroids, prohormones and whatnot. So I contacted him. Being the naive first time competitor I was, I thought I would be put on a 12-14 week diet. After sending him pictures, he told me I would be dieting for around 20 weeks, starting that next Friday lol. So I needed to get my ass in gear quickly. To make a long story short, 20 of the hardest weeks of my life went by. I'm a very dedicated and hardworking person, but there were days I was unsure if I was able to do it. Those were the days I just put my head down and blocked everything out so I could achieve my goal, I reached my goal.

I did 2 shows and they were the best experience of my life. As I told you, everyone was so welcoming and friendly and simply glad to be in it together. I was the youngest person competing in the whole show and I held my own. In my first show, I placed 2nd in the Teens and 4th in the novice. In the second, I placed 2nd in the teens and 5th in the juniors. I was simply doing this for the experience, and expecting nothing. I got my feedback from the judges, on what to bring up and whatnot, and then went back to drawing board. And now I train people and am a full-time male stripper! It's a win-win! :)

If you want to check out my trainer, his website is: WEBSITE

As for specifics, that's up to you. What do you want to know about? My stripping is off-topic! :)

To which she responded:

"Hey Rigit23! Good hearing from you. I know, I could have been a bit more creative with my e-mail address but I created it so long ago that I swear it was before the internet even existed! :)

Truth be known, when I was in high school, P.E. was my absolute worst subject! I only recently started working out and actually enjoying it! I'm enjoying it so much that it seems only natural to want to compete. I'm always up for a good challenge and I'm known as the rebel/pioneer in my family, always taking paths that no one else has ever even considered. So it comes as no surprise to my family back in AZ when I tell them that I want to enter a fitness competition. They get a kick out of it (and crack up). They never take me seriously...until, that is, they see me reach my goals! (and I almost always do) :)

Your story is both encouraging and insightful. Those are some great accomplishments (Congrats)! And the strippin', well that's just a BONUS! I think it's great! If you've got it, go for it! I always wanted to incorporate pole-dancing as part of my workouts. That's some great (and not to mention sexy) training! Too bad they don't offer the classes at Gold's. Maybe I ought to look into teaching them and add them to their schedule for Friday nights...Hmmmm... :)

I checked out TRAINER website. I don't imagine this guy's affordable. Effective, no doubt, but can I afford him? He trains WOMAN! She's currently on every other page of every other women's fitness magazines. And she has every right to be. She's amazing!

I'm going to have to definitely pick your brain and get you to share more stories/strategies with me...on competing, that is. I've got the stripper thing down pretty good myself. LOL.

Thanks for sharing!
See you soon!

aka Loops"

Critique away. And yes, I have emailed her back
