I want to talk to this girl who showed me some IOI's a couple weeks back on facebook and I've been trying to figure out how to open the conversation and get a date. I see her every now and then and we hang out with some of the same people but we dont know each other very well. I was thinking next time shes on facebook I could ask her something like "Hey were you trying to tell me something at (party she wasnt at)". Obviously shes just gonna say something about how she wasnt at that party, and I dont know how I'm gonna keep the convo going. Maybe it's just a shitty opener, so if anybody has any other suggestions for openers in this situation it would be appreciated.

I'd try and keep it fun and playful, send her a message, I'd say something like

"Hey, we had so much fun a couple of weeks ago, and now what, you're not even talking to me? :O I'm heartbroken! "

The smileys here are a must, it shows you're joking and being playful with her.

It was a while ago and I only saw her for a few minutes so I feel like itd be weird if I brought it up. Also she has her phone number next to her status so idk if I should try and open her with a text instead, but I'm still not sure what I would say.

Dude you are thinking waaaay too much. Not everything you do in pick up has to be a rock solid line start off slow and let it develop naturally...
